Abstract:
Shock absorbers of engine vehicles are usually regarded as an element improving comfort of the driver and passengers. The function of shock absorber influences both directly and indirectly safety and economy of the vehicle function. In case of the absorbers malfunction the vertical oscillation of the force transmitted by the wheel on the road is not reduced sufficiently. Thus the total tangential force, which can be transmitted on the road, is decreased. This consequently results in longer braking distance, decreased vehicle directional stability, accelerated and uneven wear of tyres and increased load of both vehicle and road.
