Abstract:
The paper introduces results of experimental verification of the hypothesis, that Diesel engines equipped with mechanical engine speed governor are able to meet the valid requirements of emission inspections, while in certain modes of operation can exceed the required smoke emission limits. The presented results are based on the experiment of examining the dependence between smoke emissions (also referred to as smokiness) of a Diesel engine with mechanical engine speed governor and the engine RPM, load and maximum fuel feed.
