Abstract:
The contribution provides information about monitoring and testing of brake cylinders of the automobile ŠKODA hydraulic braking system. The carried out research demonstrated and validated that a leakage of the brake cylinders is due to a corossion process of their functional surfaces. The corossion process is charakterized by a piting with the maximum depth of pits 0,4 mm. A design and used material of the testing brake cylinders have sufficient reserves for reboring on 1,5 mm and fulfil requirements of the standard ČSN 30 35 02 for parts vhich are in contact a brake fluid.
